CARROT HALWA

Everyone knows carrots are vitamin-packed powerhouses that boost your overall well-being. While we usually enjoy them as a veggie, carrots can also shine in desserts – think carrot cake! But today I’m introducing you to a delightful Indian treat: carrot halwa. This recipe not only features the goodness of carrots but also includes other healthy ingredients such as cardamom, almonds and raisins. Get ready for a sweet twist on a classic favourite.


Ingredients: 2 cups of grated carrots, milk, ghee, cardamom, almonds, cashew and raisins.


Method:
  1. Add 1 tablespoon of ghee into a pan and saute the grated carrots for 5 minutes.   
  2. Then, add 1 litre of milk and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Once the carrots are thickened, add crushed almonds, cashews, raisins and cardamom. Keep stirring in low heat till its thick enough.
  4. Dish out onto a plate and enjoy.
