Mung Bean is a plant species in the legume family. They are used in soup or porridge, curries and dips. Mung bean is packed with various health benefits. It is high in dietary fibre, plant protein, iron, magnesium and vitamin B6. This bean can reduce blood pressure, sugar levels and cholesterol levels in the body. Besides that, it prevents cancer, protects your liver, and enhances good digestion. This is a simple mung bean porridge recipe you can try:

Ingredients - mung beans, sago (a starch extracted from the pith, or spongy core tissue, of various tropical palm stems), pandan leaves, and coconut milk.

Method:
1. Wash and soak the beans for an hour.
2. Soak the sago for 1/2 hour.
3. Then, add the mung beans to a pot with water and bring it to a boil.
4. After that, add the soaked sago into the pot, along with the pandan leaves for flavouring.
5. Once the beans are properly cooked, add the coconut milk. Stir the porridge and cook it for 10 minutes before serving. (I used coconut milk as it is my favourite, you can choose any kind of milk according to your preference)

P.S. The main ingredient is mung beans, you can add the same ingredients to make this porridge or change it according to what you like.
